"It's All About Energy!"

June 8th was the beginning
of the El Pomar Energy Camp.
Here is the college where it
was held at.
On the very first day,
we got to build something
that was solar powered.
This is what our group
did, a drawbridge.
The other groups either
built a car, an airplane,
a platform elevator, or
a windmill.

On the second day, we got to build
a powerhouse. Mine had a working
windmill and lightbulb, both powered
by the same three solar panels.

On the third day, we chose to
make a solar oven (I know it
looks like a satellite dish). I
chose to take it home and finish it.

On the fourth day, we got to build a
solar-powered grasshopper. When
you put it in the light, it jiggles and
jumps.

Here it is in mid-action.

On the fifth and final day, we got to
present our projects to our parents
in the auditorium and classroom,
and got to take them home. On the
way there, Dad and I got ice cream
and enjoyed the way home.
